Cherkizovo chicken sales rise 10% to 57,940 tns in September

MOSCOW, Oct 12 (PRIME) -- Russian meat producer Cherkizovo Group’s chicken sales grew by 10% on the year to 57,940 tonnes in September, the company said in a statement on Monday.

Pork sales decreased by 2% to 23,690 tonnes, while turkey sales rose by 5% to 3,710 tonnes. Meat products sales grew by 7% to 22,650 tonnes.

The average chicken price eased by 2% on the year to 108.48 rubles per kilogram. The average pork price jumped by 16% to 99.01 rubles.
